Started in the fall of
2003, Linder Legal Staffing Inc. provides as-needed, law-related
staffing solutions to Chicago area law firms and corporate legal
departments. We focus on project support staffing on a contract,
hourly basis and direct-hire placement for attorneys, paralegals
and administrative professionals.
About
Our Team
Curtis
A. Linder is the President of Linder Legal Staffing Inc.
Curtis began his career in legal staffing in 1984, as a contract
paralegal on the MCI v. AT&T (damages portion) federal
antitrust case in Chicago. He was on assignment through a large,
locally-owned Chicago staffing company. Curtis quickly found his
passion – temporary staffing – and was hired by the
staffing company to interview and place lawyers, paralegals and
other support professionals on assignments with law firms and corporate
legal departments throughout Chicagoland. Curtis managed the legal
divisions of two staffing companies before founding his own firm.
Nancy
Roberts Linder is the CFO of Linder Legal Staffing
Inc. Nancy has over 20 years of experience working with Chicago-area
law firms, most notably in the business development and marketing
arena. She consults with law firms in a variety of client development
and client relationship management areas including strategic planning,
communications development, attorney skills enhancement/coaching,
as well as marketing department structure and marketing professional
recruitment. When Linder Legal Staffing is involved in a direct-hire
candidate search or contract assignment placement for a law firm
marketer, Nancy is our point person.
In addition to her work
at LLS and her consulting practice, Nancy has developed a curriculum
to teach marketing skills to law students. The program has been
taught at Chicago-Kent
College of Law since 1998 and Valparaiso
University School of Law in 1998, 1999 and 2002. Both schools
were the first in their respective states to present this type of
issue-specific programming for their students. In 2003, Chicago-Kent
College of Law bestowed Nancy with a Professional Achievement Award
for this innovative program she developed. Nancy has published more
than 100 articles and speaks on a variety of lawyer marketing topics.
She writes a monthly column on client development issues for Intellectual
Property Today.
Walter
Wiegand began consulting with us on a part-time
basis in the fall of 2005. Walter brings 20 years of law firm operations,
management, and staff hiring experience to LLS. Walter interviews
and evaluates applicants and candidates and fulfills client staffing
requests. While he was the Business Manager at a litigation law
firm in Chicago, Walter hired numerous paralegals, legal secretaries,
and law clerks. He was also involved in the firm's associate recruitment,
development, training and compensation programs. Walter plays a
vital role here at LLS in streamlining our business processes, applicant
intake/ interview/placement timeline, along with ensuring our compliance
with government mandated employer responsibilities.

Now in our sixth calendar year of business,
we want to thank the contract employees we have placed on assignments,
as well as the clients that requested their assistance. A
number of the contractors who have worked for us have moved on to
direct-hire positions - which is always great news.
The clients we are fortunate
to be able to work with are some of the best law firms and corporate
legal departments in and around Chicago. We cannot mention
you by name of course, but you know who you are! We appreciate
each and every opportunity you have given us to work with you.
